Clear Zig-Zag Foot for Bernina
The Clear Zig-Zag Foot for Bernina is an “all purpose” presser foot for all general utility sewing. Because it is clear, you can easily follow a line drawn on the fabric such as a dart or following shapes drawn for making turn and stitch appliques. Plus, line up stitching to match previous stitching such as when repairing a seam. While many people use an Open Toe Foot for this purpose, it is not the best choice when sewing utility stitches on medium to lightweight fabrics as it does not hold the fabric securely enough for stitches to form optimally. The Clear Zig-Zag Foot will give you much more uniform stitches.
The Clear Zig-Zag Foot for Bernina does not have the slight indentation on the underside of the foot that the standard Zig-Zag Foot has, the Clear Zig-Zag Foot has a completely flat bottom, giving more support to fine fabrics while they are being stitched. And unlike the Straight Stitch Foot, the Clear Zig-Zag Foot has the added bonus of being able to use a zig-zag or other utility stitch to suit the task at hand.
This is a generic presser foot. To attach to your machine, you will need the Bernina shank adapter sold below that can be used for all presser feet in this category. Use the "COMPATIBILITY DETAILS" tab to check whether your Bernina is a "New Style" or "Old Style" model.
